Global Impact Manager

Position Summary
The Global Impact Manager is a linchpin individual who will be responsible for coordinating a portfolio of private and public grants and contracts with an emphasis on program delivery, donor compliance, grant administration, and reporting. The Global Impact Manager will work closely with members of the Finance, Intellectual Capital, Business Development, and program teams to ensure high-quality, cost-effective program delivery and impact. The Global Impact Manager will be housed in the Business Development team but will form a link between all technical services team to ensure strong program coordination and oversight. The Global Impact Manager will report to the Director of Strategic Development.

Responsibilities

  • Business Development: Support the business development team on proposal and budget preparation and reporting. Support new project handover to program teams, including developing work plans and project timelines.
  • Work Planning/Operations: Support flagships and partner organizations in program planning, monitoring & evaluation, and budgeting. Ensure compliance with donor requirements by tracking the terms and conditions of grants and contracts, including expense restrictions, and managing deliverable deadlines.
  • Rapid Start-up and Program Support: Rapidly deploy to flagship sites to start up major new programs. Responsibilities will include supporting staff hiring, leading post-award debrief with prime partner or donor, setting up satellite offices as appropriate, etc. Additionally, deploy to flagship sites to support donor/prime partner audits.
  • Operations Systems Development: In collaboration with the global finance team support, develop, and deploy fraud management and training systems; support flagship teams with routine revisions/updates to their Finance, Operations, and HR Manuals.
  • Grant Coordination/Reporting: Coordinate grant requirements (publications, trainings, capacity building, advocacy, evaluations, and budget) with appropriate program staff to ensure all requirements are met and documented. Coordinate the timely development and submission of interim and final reports to funders, obtaining and collating relevant program information from team members. Ensure all grant files are updated, accurate, and accessible to program staff. Ensure timely processing of all grant closeouts.

Specifications & Competencies

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in relevant field.
  • Work Experience: 2-5 years professional work experience including program management and/or grants management. Knowledge of federal regulations, particularly USAID, and familiarity with basic accounting and financial reporting. Excellent computer proficiency, particularly in MS Excel, Salesforce, Google applications. International development experience preferred; field time preferred.
  • Communication Style: Outstanding written and oral communication skills, and demonstrated ability to operate in cross-cultural contexts and across geographies and time zones.
  • Work Style: Flexibility, self-motivation, and an ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks efficiently. Must be able to work under pressure and meet deadlines. Hands-on attention to details with an ability to work collaboratively across multiple departments and countries.
