Communications & Marketing Positions (Two Roles)

GRS is an international adolescent health organization that leverages the power of soccer to educate, inspire and mobilize at-risk youth to overcome their greatest health challenges, live healthier, more productive lives, and be agents for change in their communities.



  • Develops and implements annual communications and marketing strategies
  • Writes/oversees content of collateral including annual reports, blogs, newsletters, flyers and more
  • Leads on brand management, including both internal and external guidance
  • Acts as primary in-house designer, manages print and digital projects
  • Coordinates with GRS Impact teams in sub-Saharan Africa to ensure their work is integrated into GRS centralized communications strategy and elevates the voice of GRS Coaches and participants
  • Provides guidance and capacity building support to local GRS affiliates and partnership teams
  • Co-creates and implements GRS social media strategy, including planning strategic, engaging content
  • Manage Google Adwords, Google Analytics, and website SEO
  • Manages GRS email marketing (Mailchimp), including managing audiences, analytics, and content
  • Supports and promotes events and fundraising initiatives with production of marketing materials and other communications, working closely with the Fundraising Team

Specifications & Competencies

  • Experience in communications and marketing, ideally with a background working in adolescent health and empowerment and/or an international non-profit
  • Experience with social media marketing, websites, and other digital communications platforms and ability to quickly acquire new skills and learn new technologies
  • Graphic design and photo editing skills
  • Experience or desire to work with teams in different cultural contexts
  • Demonstrated ability to write for different platforms and audiences

The Communications & Marketing team plays a key role in driving GRS’s strategic communications and marketing objectives, with significant opportunity for professional growth. We’re hiring for two positions to fill this team, and levels may vary based on experience. The team drives a range of communications activities, including content creation, digital outreach, GRS social media strategy and community engagement, and in-house graphic design. They provide marketing and communications support to fundraising, events, business development, and thought leadership initiatives and stakeholder engagement.
