Grassroot Soccer’s mission is to provide African youth with the knowledge, skills and support to live HIV-free. But it takes a village, and we need everyone’s help! The magnitude of the HIV epidemic demands that everyone contribute in whatever way they can – and that includes you! There’s always something going on at GRS, whether it’s a new program being launched in Africa or an event being held in your area!
Donate Now - GRS relies on the donations of individuals, groups, organizations, and companies to fund its programs throughout Africa. Every little bit helps, and it takes as little as $25 to put a student through the proven-effective SKILLZ Curriculum.
Become a GRS Intern – College students, recent graduates and young adults with several years work experience may be interested to work as Grassroot Soccer Interns in Africa. Interns serve crucial roles in the successful delivery of the Grassroot Soccer Program in many African countries. The internship program is often referred to as a “soccer-related alternative to Peace Corps service.” Detailed information about the program and application materials are available by clicking here.
Host a Soccer Fundraiser – Hosting a Grassroot Soccer fundraiser is a lot of fun and is a tremendous way to provide more youth in Africa with critical HIV/AIDS prevention education. Get started today!
Support Our NYC Marathon Team - Grassroot Soccer is an Official Participating Charity in the 2010 New York City Marathon, and we have a team of supporters running to raise money for GRS. But they can’t do it without your help, pledge your support by donating to our GRS Marathon Team
Show Your Support - Visit the Grassroot Soccer store and wear your support publicly. GRS offers a variety of shirts, jerseys, and other apparel and all proceeds go to support Grassroot Soccer.
Commemorative Games - a nation wide campaign of commemorative games taking place in 2009 and 2010. Games will be hosted by high school, college and professional teams throughout the country, coming together to use soccer as a vehicle for positive change in the world.
