Name: Scott Schachter

Age: 35

Running History: I have been running races since before grade school. My most notable races have been the Paris Marathon, NYC Half Marathon, Two Oceans Ultra-Marathon in Capetown South Africa, and The Mighty Man Half Ironman Triathlon.

How He’s Training: Combination of shorter runs, hill work and intervals during the week and long runs on the weekends. Also using swimming and biking as cross training tools.

GRS Connection: I’m a close friend of Ethan Zohn’s. I’ve also had the pleasure of being involved with GRS at various levels and got to travel to Africa to see GRS’s work first hand in Lusaka, Zambia.

Message: We must all suffer from two pains in life. The pain of discipline or the pain of regret. The only difference is discipline weighs ounces and regret weighs tons. I will be disciplined in my training and finish this race. Please help me reach my fundraising goal and help GRS’s global mission.
