Name: Annie Vinton

Age: 30+9

Running History: Started running when I was about 11. When I crossed my first finish line, my dad rewarded me with a warm cream soda. He’s subsequently been banned from all finish lines I cross. I’ve run more races I can count, but only one Marathon – NYC 2001. I said I’d never do another Marathon again, only sticking to halves as longest distance, but this is about GRS, not me and I couldn’t be more psyched and nervous at the same time!

How She’s Training: One step at a time…a training schedule that I’ll stick to like crazy glue.

GRS Connection: Heard about GRS through a friend and was tremendously impressed and inspired. I tracked Ethan down earlier this Spring for a GRS opportunity and he hasn’t been able to shake me since.

Message: Never say never. I’ll be running every step for someone else…and that’s what this is all about. Any kind of support is great support! Help me reach my goal of $3,000. If times are too tough, come out and give me moral support! I’ll need it most along First Avenue; in the Bronx; and at The Finish Line. No cream soda though, please!
